Calvary TRD broken into at dealership

I had my '02 Altima vandalized at a dealership. It was in for warranty work for a couple of days and someone smashed in all 4 windows. Of course, it rained like Noah running for the Ark that night.

This is good advice. I was putting my Gorilla lug key away and realized the jack location was not the best place to store the one thing a thief needs to steal my wheels.

What do you guys think of locking lug nuts in addition to the specialty key that's required for the Gorilla lug nuts. Anyone can order the key on line.

As long as it’s not the wheel locks with slots cut into it you should be fine. Most can be taken off with a good 12 point socket and a hammer.

If they want your stuff they’ll take it. My buddy had his truck towed away in the middle of the night. Parked right in front of his home.

My uncle had his Raptor taken from him at gun point while at a red light.

Just what I was thinking. Knew a guy in high school that broke into his own car and stole the system for some cash.

Yes, that's right. I still use a good old Club on the steering wheel. We all know that thieves used to cut the steering wheels and pull them off, but mine requires cutting the wheel in two places and most thieves are no longer prepared for removing the old Clubs. At least I hope so. eep:

I'm interested in finding a good Kill Switch I can install. Anyone know of one?

That lug lock key removal tool above is amazing. I didn't know anyone could get one, mostly for the purpose of steeling your wheels.

I spent over $2000 on new alloy wheels and AT tires.

I also had just spent that amount on wheels and tires and splined lugnuts when I heard about those tools being common.

Anyway, for $70 you can remove any wheel lock, factory or not, without the noise of hammering a socket onto lug nuts. Real quick way to remove wheel is also to simply stack bricks under the axle, let the air out of the tires, and done, no jack needed.

So does anyone use a kill switch? Or how about a kill-thief, electrically charged steering wheel? :faint2:
It's interesting that that tool you linked is called a steal man 7...
I park my T4R in my garage at night. The only place a thief might come back to is at work. That's possible but not as likely as if I parked on the street at night.
I'm happy to say I live in a state where carrying a gun for this kind of eventuality is not an option. The laws are so tough on having a gun with you that it's not a viable option (legally).
No offense meant Chris, but if you think removing a flat tire that's sitting on bricks is easy, give it a try. The tire will only flatten until the weight is on the bricks and it's still jammed on the ground. Besides, I prefer to use wood blocks. They're easier to stack until you get them at the right height.
