camber issue/ new tire suggestions

well my 4runner has the daystar 2.5inch lift? something like that, anyway I have awkward positive camber in the front wheels, kinda weird, what to do?

its wearing my tires away so bad and only on the outsides, (my tires are really old so thats my next question)

I want new tires, and bigger tires right now they are i believe 265/70/R16? (does that sound right?)

i want a size up or two, what do you suggest and what tread?

Probably going to sell the 4runner to my cousin when I move out to california, I want to lease a Tahoe (something bigger) but since I have a little more to spend then he does, I'm trying to get the 4runner perfect before selling it to him so he has no more costs

AT, I have bridgestone dueler AT now, i like them

I might want to go with something that has a bigger tread, not ultra noisy though, any ideas?

It sounds like you need a good alignment. Was it ever aligned after the lift was initially installed? - If not, it should have been.

With a 2.5" lift, you can go up to a 285/75R16 (33x11) or 255/85R16 (33.5x9.5) with some very minor trimming of the wheel wells/plastic liner (like 15 minutes worth of cutting with scissors and hammering a pinch weld flat). Either of these will look better with your lift than 265/75R16s (32x10) will.

That explains the uneven wear, it's definitely the alignment. Lifting it will push the camber way out from stock.

285s will fit on your stock rims, but most of the time you'll need to run at least a .25" wheel spacer in the front so you won't rub the upper control arms. I have 1" aluminum bolt-on spacers in the front only, but they were like $100 or so. You can get the .25" ones from wheelersoffroad.com for $5!

Some tire manufacturer's specs say not to mount their 285s on anything less than a 7.5" rim (our stock rims are 7"), but we here on T4R.org go by common sense and the real world and they work just fine on our stock rims. Some tire shops may not want to mount 285s on 7" rims because they are afraid of lawsuits, but I assure you it's all legal bullshit, the tires will work just fine on stock rims and there are a lot of us who run that set-up including myself.

you will want to fix the camber before you get new tires because the outside tred will wear off in les than 1000 miles

do they poke alot? when u arent flexed is their alot of poke?
