camelback toyota

i ordered some lbjs, went and picked them up, then they shipped them to me. I guess the guy at the register ****ed up and didnt mark that i had picked them up.

Since a few didn't seem to understand my post .... LoL

OP why don't you call them AGAIN and actually work it out with a real person who works for the company.

I have always found Camelback Toyota to be customer friendly and reasonable.

I used to buy stuff from them but now I've gone back to partznet.com. The customer service at partznet is fantastic. There is some dude named Billy at camelback now and he's a dick on the phone and a dumbass. Partznet goes far above and beyond what I would hope for with customer service.

to elaborate on why i think they suck...i ordered a bunch of parts for 3 different toyota's. one part was apparently discontinued so rather than tell me, they just shipped the order without it. they also changed parts so rather than getting parts i ordered, they switched them and sent me the wrong ones. then when i contacted them they wanted me to pay return shipping even though they changed my order without asking me. finally they said they would send me the new parts.....3 months later my mailbox is still empty. camelback sucks

i did call back and was told that they were in talks with the company that handles the webpage. she did tell me that she ordered the part as well. if they are sending it to me, i don't know.

I'm happy with them. Their parts system can be ambiguous and duplicative, resulting in wrong parts showing up. In my situation, they issued a return order and took care of shipping, re-shipping, and such. I was only out the time it took to get the wrong part, work it out with them, send it back, and get the right part. They made it right, and I was probably 49% in the wrong. I've learned my lesson to use their parts system with a grain or several of salt, then call them up to confirm anything that looks in the least bit shonky. Calling and working out is good. Especially for their prices. That's their value proposition. Take on a little extra work to get less heinously priced truck parts is my motto.

edit - oh, and be friendly. that's what makes it all work. honey, not vinegar, gets you what you want.

I ordered coil springs for a '96 from Camelback. The day they were to ship, I called Crystal to change to '99's. She personally went to shipping and handled the switch at the last possible minute. She was extremely nice about it and really went above the call of duty when she could have just let the order roll. Thanks again Crystal if you get wind of this compliment!

I have nothing but good things to say about Camelback. Good prices, and I always end up buying enough stuff to get free shipping. I work with Khristal on my orders. If you provide a VIN #, she will verify the parts will fit (if ordering a part that is not original to the VIN# you provided, i.e. a "special application," be sure to note that in the comments). Occasionally a part is no longer available, and she removes it from my order - in this case she notifies me via the camelback message system (and has still honored free shipping, even if that item puts me below the line). The only issue I have had is a small item (a clip or something) was omitted from my shipment. In this case I called them directly and she corrected the error and had the part sent quickly. FYI I believe all of my shipments from camelback required direct signature, so it would not be left at the doorstep.
