Like the wrap. Those wheels look like a viable option for
People wanting SCS wheels but can’t get them because they’re always sold out

Thats purdy nice. Does the wrap basically weld itself to the paint after a few years in the sun? I heard the wrap needs replaced about every 4 to 5 years. Is it going to be a nightmare to get the old stuff off?

No, a good quality wrap shouldn't mess up your paint job at all. If anything it will protect your paint.

I follow this guy on IG as well. His Matte Olive Drab Green wrap that he had before was moneyyyyyy (see below). I personally liked the Olive Green wrap a little more than his current camo wrap. I think the multicam wrap is cool, but it's too dark. Its really hard to see that its camouflage until it is in very bright natural sunlight. I would want a camo like the C7 Corvette I pictured below, but to each is own!

Either way...very cool truck, with some very cool color schemes!

EDIT: The Olive Green 4Runner is a different truck than the Multicam Camo truck. Mixing up my Instagram 4Runners!

Wrap cost estimate

Anyone have a rough idea of what a decent wrap would cost? I am just wondering ballpark, is it in the thousands of dollars?

I think those are different rigs, but both show that wraps can be worth the effort

Oh boy, you're right! I am mixing up my Instagram 4Runner accounts that I follow.

Nevertheless, I stand by my original point!

Thank you for the heads up!

I've met Rich, he's a nice guy. They gave me a set of 2 rims for my trailer, and I appreciate that, but I didn't know they were knock off rims (not of SCS rims) at the time.

And frankly I deeply regret that decision, I have met Vin, and gone to SCS when my parents lived in the Bay Area. I have a set of rock monsters ordered for my trailer. I don't begrudge anyone for supporting who they want to support, but that decision pissed some folks off and I wish I had known a bit more about the company before I opted to use the rims I used.

Anyways, we wrapped my trailer in MC Black. It's a cool pattern. I really don't like vehicles that are camo wrapped, as it looks too tacticool. The trailer was RIGHT on the line (they actually come flat desert earth primered).

SCS wheels are almost never in stock. I really, really (x 10) liked SCS wheels and was ready to pull the trigger on a set of SR8s a year ago. Even until today they aren’t available on their website. I tried contacting SCS through phone, email, private message, Instagram, etc. and never heard a peep. If I gotten a response (any response), I would’ve waited. :noidea:

My point - things didn't work in my favor but I not going to go out on the forums and bash them. Maybe they were busy, maybe they weren't. To have 37 pages is a little ridiculous. (I didn't read all 37 pages)

Might just be the lighting in the video, but I'm not feeling it. The matte background with the satin camo makes it look like a bad rattlecan job from a distance.
