Camping and COVID Report?

I don’t think Anza Borrego is open at all for camping or anything, their website said it’s not open to vehicular traffic. Mojave I went two weekends ago, no problems there. If you go to Mojave this weekend I might be interested in joining.

Thanks for the info... if we go it will be a family trip with little kids, just FYI in case kids repel you lol :painkiller:

Where in Mojave did you go btw?

That's no problem. Myself and my buddies are all kid friendly (and some have kids). We stayed somewhat close to Afton Canyon. It was pretty windy on that weekend though.

A friend of mine went to Holcomb Valley last weekend and everything was fine, he didn’t camp though. My other buddies booked some campsites up there for the end of May.

Good report out

Stopped by the lake, went up holcomb valley and went down by 7 oaks creek. No issues anywhere.

Bad news, all yellow posts were taken!

Did come across the ranger at the time and asked him about rules. He said that yellow posts are under a weird jurisdictions and it would take the sheriff going up to kick people off.

One caveat is group sites. Anything with benches is off limits and people were removed recently. I think there's only one up off holcomb.

All state camp sites were closed off as well.

Trails we went on were all open

Hung out by the lake and multiple police SUV's drove by without any issues

Looks like ill be going up to Big Bear to explore a little then. Maybe do either heartbreak ridge or gold mountain once everything eases down.
