Camshaft alignment

I'm rebuilding a 96 4Runner 3.4L. When I install the camshaft the Haynes book and everything I've looked for online tells me to align 2 dots to 2 dots. When I do this my timing belt sprocket is pointing down 180 degrees from what it should be. What am I missing?

Two dots to two dots on one side. One dot to one dot on the other. One of the sides is facing the cab and hard to see.

Ok. So I've had a mechanic come look at what I've got and he says to line up 2 dots to 2 dots on left and right side then before I put timing belt on turn both cams to the proper timing marks then put timing belt on. It's late so I'll post my results tomorrow.
