hey everybody i new around here(so new, i dont have a t4r yet, still looking around getting one real soon.) and from what i learning that the front end of a 4r can only be lifted a max of 3" b/c they way toy designed it or something like that. i read that of a companys website, cant remeber the name started with a d(not daystar) anyway, how is this possiable, i cant even find the "kits" they have from trailmaster. TM doesnt have on there website so i just left wondering. thanks for you help.

as far as i know . . .

the 4runner in your links is a third generation 4runner, they can be lifted well over three inches. the 4th generation 4runner (from 2003 - present) can only be lifted up to three inches if you have XREAS suspension. if you don't have XREAS, lift 'till your heart is content.

yea, what he said, with 3rd gens, you can throw on a suspension lift and then most people who want to be really high will throw a body lift on top of that. The most that people normally go with a body lift is 3 - 4 inches but suspension wise im pretty sure you can go as high as you want.

I am no expert but i think that you would need to drop the front differential to maintain adequate CV angle.

yep or youll tear up the CV boots thus leaking grease out and having to replace them very frequently. If you go more than 3 inches the CV's are a concern if its 3 inches then they will rub alittle and less than that shouldnt be a problem.
