can anyone recommend me a roofrack ?

If you are worried about rust check out the ARB all aluminum alloy rack. It has different sizes, is strong and is never going to rust. Ironman 4x4 also makes an all aluminum rack. Kind of looks like the might have repurposed the ARB rack, they look so much alike.
 
Looking to install a roof rack on my 2015 - mainly for bikes and kayaks.

There seems to be quite a few to choose from - anyone in SoFlo able to recommend with our weather conditions?

I did 4 LFD bars with the wind fairing, no noise and looks pretty close to stock. I carry kayaks and bikes and fishing poles all the time
 
I was looking at the NFAB rack. Its Aluminum, and bolts directly to the stock rails. I just carry kayaks, and fishing gear. Nothing crazy. Anyone have experience with the NFAB rack?
 
Just installed the uptop overland bravo full length no drill roof rack. Stated wait time 12 weeks, got it in 10.5.

Easy no worries install. Minor issue - they hadn't included thread lock that their install instructions referenced. Upon emailing them, uptop suggested using loctite. Did so and have no complaints. Used immediately to transport 12-ft countertop. It's early days yet, so will share thoughts after 30-45 days of use.

I don’t understand the appeal of running these full racks, that 90% of the pictures in here are completely empty and unused? I just ended up going with the LFD crossbars for my tent. Couldn’t be happier. Is a full rack really necessary to mount a rotopax?
 
90% of my photos show an empty rack. Once I prep for a trip, it’s completely used up with an awning, water port, max trax, storage box, rotopax, shovel and axe.
 
I went with the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform with backbone system and really like it.

It's aluminum so you dont get the inevitable rusting of the steel tube racks and that crap leaking all over your car.

It is very similar to the front runner rack. Main difference is on the front runner, the slats run side to side while on the rhino they run the length of the car. The FR also has a lip if I'm not mistaken.

While I dont know this to be a fact, the logic of physics would dictate that results in better aerodynamics and less wind noise. But maybe I'm just bs'ing myself there.

Part of the reason I went with rhino is that it will hold 700lbs static and i think 250 while driving. That means me and several friends can climb up there with camp chairs to watch an event. I figured the lengthwise slats would be better for that.

In order to get those full load ratings, you need the backbone system. (Frontrunner has a similar but I don't think theirs looks as good or was as short/compact). In order to get the backbone system, you needed the 76in long rack. That covered too much of the sunroof for me. About 2/3. So I put an aluminum blade on a circular saw and hacked off about 8 inches so now my sunroof is wide open. Not sure if you can do that with the front runner design.

I've had my for several years but back then rhino was cheaper for the rack but the accessories were more expensive. Front runner was the opposite. Rack was more accessories were less.

I will say the rhino rack is a PITMFA to attach/detach by yourself but it's really not something you do a lot anyway.

If I'm not mistaken there is both a rhino and frontrunner for sale on the forum. Not sure of location.

Nice setup with the LFD crossbars! I might go this way, looks high quality. I see you did not install the wind fairing crossbar up front, any wind noise with current setup?

I think I'd say the opposite. Why do the other 10% want to drive around with a rack full of crap? I'd keep my rack empty too knowing it won't be hard to load up when I need it.

I also did what you did and just got better crossbars (Victory.) I bolt up a Rola basket when I need it, which is rare, and it takes 5 minutes. Otherwise, no leaking, factory looking (which I like), much stronger than the OEM rails, and fits in my garage.

I didn’t receive my fairing at the time with the crossbars. It did make some noticeable noise.
After I received and installed the fairing I would say it eliminated about 90% of the wind noise.
