Can I have the headlights converted to auto

I have a 04 sport edition and it does not have automatic lights. Does anyone know if it is possible to convert it to auto? And how much would something like this cost.

Yes, it is possible. I believe rando did this on his SR5, I'm sure you could find it if you did a search. From what I remember, it wasn't too difficult of an install, just tapping a couple wires, but the light stalk is pretty expensive.

I don't think it would be that easy. The automatic light sensor is located right next to the climate control sensor (front of the dash right above the VIN). Right now, you probably have a plastic insert where it belongs. It just looks like you would have to unassemble the entire dashboard to install the senor.

I just leave mine on all the time, they turn off auto. after you turn off the truck. Im sure this my bulbs wont last as long, but my previous car had drl/auto headlights and I like having the extra visibility. Im sure this would be even more helpfull in a lighter color 4r like gray or white.

I do the same. I figure the extra visibilty and having to replace bulbs more frequently is extra "insuarance" in preventing an accident.

Plus I did the bumper light mod so now I have 5 brake lights come on instead of the default 2.

That explains why you can not ignore a motorcycle with headlight on.
