Can I still buy one?

My wife and I are looking for a 2011 4Runner Trail. One of the salesman from a local dealer called us today (put in a request at toyota.com) and said that they stopped making them. He then fed me some line about how they have a 2010 with 3000 miles for sale. I'm pissed. We test drove that one on Saturday and it's been beat up. It was awesome when the salesman backed it off the "show rock" it was parked on and couldn't get it in gear. It was grinding so bad it made my teeth ache. We bought our 09 Tacoma DC OR 4X4 from them and didn't expect to get some nancy pancy run around.

So...tell me its not true.

There are 2011 TEs already in the country, I doubt they stopped them mid production for this year. Finding one with the color and options you want may be difficult though. I'd go to a different dealer, it sounds like they are clueless..

I just bought a Trail 2011 in Greeley Colorado last Saturday. There are not many available, but they are out there.

I highly doubt that they would discontinue the big seller for the 5th gen 4runner.

Ask the salesman why can you build one on toyota.com then?

Sounds like he wanted to move the 2010...I would contact someone at Toyota Corporate to verify what he said.
