Can I Support the Car at These Points?...

Hi all,

I have a '91 4R - Is there any problem with supporting the rear of the car on the axle housings at the red-highlighted locations in the pic?

Any problem with jacking under the trailer hitch? (with a floor jack, not hi-lift).

You'll want to place your jack under the diff (pumpkin) on the rear axle. Just make sure you clear the drain plug. The hitch is a no-no.

jack it up under the diff and put 2 jack stands where you have it outlined

Use a small piece of wood on the jack. I use hockey pucks.
