I was told that the Factory JBL amp is located on the rear passenger right side in cargo area.Prior to spending an hour to remove the panel, I am not sure that the Factory JBL amp comes with LEVEL KNOB to be adjusted from Minimum to MAX.Because I need to increase the volume level a little bit louder. Does Anyone know that this unit has the adjustable level knob. Thanks all in advance.

Dan.

I don't believe there is an adjustment knob.

Do you have the fade or maybe the balance set all the way to the rear and passenger? (I know, kind of silly but lets start with the basic)

If you're having problems on a 2005, why don't you just have the dealer look into it and fix it for you? My JBL unit from the factory sounded very loud, but just didn't have bass.

Hey sharp4runr:

Thanks for your reply.I did check the FADE and Balance.Everything is in the center "0" position. I was also thinking the same to let the dealer fix this problem.Since I want to fix right away.Otherwise I have to wait 2 weeks to get it fixed by the dealer.

Thanks again.

Even if it had a gain control. the gain on an amp isn't a volume knob. This setting is actually your input sensitivity, and it's used to match the line input voltage to the input stage of the amplifier.

If the gain is set too high, your overdriving your input stage, and you get clipping and distortion.

If you set the gain too low, you amplify a weak signal and get poor signal quality.
