can we make the fj's snorkel work for us?

While it would hook up fine in theory I think the part that would look weird is the outside portion since the 5th gen has different fenders, windshield angle, etc.

I haven't heard of anyone trying this.

I was looking at that also, it looks like that would be the closest thing to fit our truck right now. Anyone have a buddy with an FJ snorkel to use as a tester?

Airlflow america is supposed to be coming out with a snorkel, last I heard was that the storms in australia has pushed back the release date. I suggest all interested in a snorkel email them so that they see the intereset level and maybe work a bit faster. Make sure you specify 2010/11 5th gen 4runner. People get the 4th and 5th gens confused all the time.

Most have seen 1-3 MPG. IMO a 1 MPG increase is worth it to me.

Even if it wasn't, if the snorkel head was facing forward it would create forced induction, it will also be accessing cooler air.

My intake temperature is the same as the outside temperature so yes it is taking in cooler air. Without the snorkel, the intake temperature can be anywhere from 10-30 degrees above the outside temperature. Other than that I am running it to a stock filter. Secondary filter is on too.

I have already emailed Safari Snorkel about it and at the time they had no plans on a snorkel. I have looked around for a possible fit but havent seen anything yet. Once one is available, I will be one of the first to jump on it.

will mybe you can see if the one on your taco can be fited to work on are 4R ! with just a small mod
