Can you add 3rd row?

hi All,
I have an 06 comming off lease and I'm interested in buying it out. It's only got 32k and has never given me any problems. However, I really need that 3rd row seat now...

Does anyone know if it's possible to add a 3rd row if it wasn't done in the factory? I have an 06 SR5...

If so, do you know about how much it would cost and to have intstalled?

It would be very difficult to do and probably very cost prohibitive.

The second row seats, and most likely as well as the floor pan, are different in two row seating 4Runners compared to third row equipped. The second row on third row equipped 4Runners, the seatback folds down and tumbles forward to allow access to the third row. The seatback for third row equipped 4Runners are hinged on the seat bottom rather than the floor on the two row 4Runner, which allows the second row to recline as well.

The cargo area side panels are also different for the hinge and foldup feature of the third row seats.

Thank you for your response. I was just wondering if it was an easy option, but it sounds like it's not. I'm probably going to end up buying my SR5 off of lease anyway. At 32k miles I think my 2006 is a good buy at 18,900. Especially that I know who drove it and I babied it for 3 years. I just wish it had more seating and it drove a little smoother. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it. Thanks again.
