I just got my 04 Limited today, and with all this snow, i thought i would have some fun. But the bloddy traction keeps kicking in..

Any way to turn it off?

No, there is no way to turn off TRAC except, perhaps, by completely disabling ABS. On a 4WD machine you can turn off VSC by locking the center differential. Why would you want to disable TRAC, it takes the place of locking the front and rear differentials.

Just to have some fun in the snow :)

I used to do it in my Escallade, to do some nice 4wheel drifts..

On the V6 you can push the "TRAC OFF" switch.
OK, thanks, there is no "TRAC OFF" switch in my V8.

Still, I wonder, other than to play at throwing up roostertails in the snow, why would someone want to turn off TRAC?

I have a trac off switch on my V8. When I switch it off and light goes on, but it doesn't work because as soon as I move a few feet the light goes off and the trac is back on.

Remember that you have a 2wd not 4wd. there are differences.

I use to have an '01 Eclipse Spyder Auto and wanted to perform front wheel drive burnouts, but I had traction control as an option on the vehicle.

If you rev' it up to 2000rpms, TC would activate.....so how do you fix it to not do that? Of course, you break it!

All I did was remove the fusz controlling the ABS System. WHAM!!! Spinin' the wheels !!!!!!!!!
