Canada officially, finally, getting TRD Pro

I was told by my dealer that the 2017's will be available in January...

Any ideas if there will be a difference between the 16' and 17' T4R TRD Pros? I just ordered a 17' and they had no info on the car whatsoever. No ETA, nothing. They have no information, not even a price.

We recently rolled through Canada on our way to Vermont, and people were watching the Pro like a hawk, especially at rest stops. lol
So isn't the TR D pro forerunner a pretty good deal? Even buying one at MSRP it seems like you do get a lot for your money.
I am looking at a 2016 trail premium with KDSS right out of the box I'm gonna have to switch out the tires and wheels the shocks add skid plates.
Not to mention the resell value on a TR D pro?
I plan on keeping this vehicle for like 10 years but just in case it's nice to know that the vehicle will hold it's value really well.
Obviously the forerunner trails a great buy but for some reason I keep Jones Ing out on the TR D pro.

No, I ordered one in the states. It is extremely hard to come by.
Ah I see! Yes from what I can see they're in high demand in the US. Hopefully it won't be the case in Canada, and I'm even thinking I could swing a discount as there's about 7-8 stores within a 30 minute drive from my house, and I'm hoping that one of them won't think the trd pro is anything special!
2017 production is set to start this month (November) but weirdly enough, Toyota won't be updating their website to the 2017 until December, at least in Canada. I was told that dealers may have pricing information sooner, but that could not be confirmed 100%. We'll see!

Darn, I just finished fully converting my trail to a TRD. Kinda liked being the only one around.

yeah good luck with that. I talked to a couple dealers who wouldn't even budge from msrp on an sr5
With the TR D pro 4Runner the main issue is just not paying over MSRP.
The TR D pro 4runner is actually the only vehicle the dealers can demand MSRP.
Unless Toyota decides to manufacture more TR D pro 4runners.
Well I was offered $2k on an sr5, and $2.8k off msrp on a trail just last month. The dealer still has the trail sitting on their lot, so I could probably even negotiate that further. Maybe they're just not as popular in my neck of the woods.

I would if the TRD pro wouldn't be coming to Canada this year, so I'm waiting for the 2017 TRD pro, even if that means no discount. Though still thinking I Can swing one!
