I quickly skimmed this but I don't think this was mentioned.

for the years 2010-2013

USA SR5 exterior looks exactly like a CDN LE (chrome trim everywhere). CDN LE doesn't have limited badge on the C pillar. Only way to tell the 2 apart is by looking at the OEM rims (17 vs 20). When I was looking to buy used, I was confused that USA imported SR5's looked exactly like CDN LE.

CDN SR5 exterior is exclusive to the CDN market. I noticed on instagram people were always asking where to buy the flares on a CDN SR5 when they're stock. CDN SR5's look almost like a trail as there is more black plastic.

I picked a 2017 TRD Off Road over the SR5 for a few reasons one being the lack of third row seating, I liked the wheels better and I liked the solid black interior over the two tone black gray of the SR5. The Limited had too much chrome and the TRD Pro up charge was not worth it to me and not readily available. YMMV.

I was weighting the pros/cons and each model and the Trail/TRD OffRoad is taking 1st place because of the 5 passenger setup. I can't justify the price of a Limited to get 5 passengers as much as I like some equipment offered.

Though you can get a Limited last year model (2016 in the case) for really good deal these days. Not sure it's the same about Trail models and I don't thing they take much off 2017 TRD Offroad yet.

Yes I got $2,400 off sticker with no trade to muddy the waters. Where in Canada are you ? If you're in the lower mainland I can give you a name and number.

There are not many TRD Off Road models around not sure if Toyota do this on purpose or they are popular I had to wait about a week for a dealer trade to get the colour I wanted. Pic is after 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2s and four Bilsteins with the fronts at .85".

Thanks for sharing the info. I'm in Quebec where are you? Prices fluctuate from province to province. I got my eyes on a 2017 TRD even though I was much more looking for a 2016. They are some SR5 advertised as low as 40500$, limited at around 48k. 7 passengers is a deal breaker though.

All I want is white. If I'm buying a new truck for the next 10 years, I'm certainly getting the color I want.

Did you install the shock yourself or Toyota did it? No spacers at the back, only the shocks? How was the install with KDSS?

I'm just South of Vancouver B.C.

I had an alignment shop do the strut install and I did the rear shocks. Everything I read about the 5100s at 1.75" is you need a 1" rear spacer otherwise the front is a little too high. The .85" looks better in person than it does in the pics I have no regrets and would do this again. The 5100s also reduce the braking dive quite a bit and the ride in general is firmed up which is good I found it initially soft, previous truck was a 3/4 ton Diesel which doesn't help ride comparisons.

2015 Canadian SR5 Premium/Upgrade Package

Resurrecting an old post...

I bought a used, Canadian 2015 SR5 Premium/Upgrade package here in the US that had been imported to California by the previous owner. Why? I drove out of town to a used dealership after seeing the listing on Carfax and they didn't show any dash pictures or mention it was a Canadian spec 4Runner. Because of this, I bargained the price down a lot and got a great deal and am still extremely happy with my decision. So I wanted to contribute to this thread as I am still learning new things about my new vehicle.

Here is a summary of my 2015 Canadian SR5 Premium/Upgrade Package and how it is/isn't similar to a US SR5 (excuse me if I list things that are the same for both US and Can.)

- The Odometer, Trip Meters and External temperature reading are PERMANENTLY on km/degC. They cannot be converted to US units. The only way is to replace the entire instrument cluster with that of a US one (and should be one of similar milage). I was bummed about this but the digital display still reads out speed in mph. Oh, the speedometer has km/hr as the main display and mph underneath...duh.
- 4x4 (2H, 4H, 4L)...I've heard this is standard on a Canadian SR5
- Has 3rd Row Seat. It takes up about 4-6in of cargo space in height.
- Second row seats slide forward and backward. And they lock in place, which is nice and makes up for the lost cargo space of the 3rd row
- No cosmetic differences that I've noticed (lights, spoiler, wheels, hood, interior colors, etc.) and DOES have the SR5 badge on the C pillar
- My N-Fab 3" Nerf Bars mounted perfectly to the existing holes without any interference.
- Full time DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). I don't have the option on my pillar to turn DRLs off. I've seen the mod to permanently disable them but I'm actually a big fan.
- Normal touchscreen head unit but has a limited version of the entune suite. So far I've noticed it is the same as the US Entune but it lacks the "Traffic" and "Weather" apps.
- Included in the Canadian Premium/Upgrade Package: Black/Grey Softex Seats (all rows), Sun/moonroof, OEM running boards, OEM All weather Mats (must be Canadian because I can't find them on the web)
