can't get homelink to work

hi all! i'm new here... just bought my first 4runner last week ('07 sport v8 4wd) which i love but i can't get the homelink to work at all.

i have a wayne-dalton garage door opener and can't get it to work. i've tried the instructions according to homelink and according to wayne-dalton and the lights do what they're supposed to do, but it just won't open the door.

any suggestions??

Is it possible that you have reached the limit on the number of remotes that you can program to the garage door opener? Ours has a limit of 4, IIRC.

I thought mine was not working either but all I had to do was push the button longer than 1 or 2 seconds, Than it worked. You may have tried that already but if you have not you might want to try it.

so apparently my garage door opener is one of the "rolling code" openers and i just needed to press the learn button on the opener itself after programming the homelink with the remote. works fine now! WOO HOO!!!!
