When I purchased my 4Runner a few months ago, I knew I wanted something to cover the cargo area. There are a multitude of options here in the forum, but one that stood out to me was the Canvasback product. There are couple threads on it from YEARS ago, but I found their website and they are still alive and kicking. In reading the feedback on them, several people reported that the cover didn't have cut outs for the child-seat hooks and the floor D-rings. I figured it never hurts to ask, so let's see if they can do those for me - no kid seat cut-outs was a deal breaker for me, but I liked the full coverage of the seats when they are laid down.
Their cut template didn't have ANY cutouts in it, so they offered to track down a 4th gen local to them and add the cuts for the seat restraints and the floor rings! Great! They made one up for me and shipped it out. It was wrong. Well, kinda wrong. I have the double-deck (and plan to use it) and their template made the assumption that you could put the cover down the back of the seats and all the way through on under the deck, when in reality (on my '08 anyway) there's a riser piece that obstructs the path under the deck. They couldn't believe they'd been selling them all this time and never had heard this feedback. I took measurements and photos and explained the issues with the cover, and after many emails back and forth to make sure we had it right they sent me a new revision of the cover - it's perfect. See the pics below.
...if you don't have or don't use the double-deck, then their product was probably fine as it was (short of having the right cut-outs).
All to say, great product, great company. I'm in no way connected to the company, nor am I receiving any kick-back for this post. I just like to see people stand by their product and go out of their way to do things right.
