So I saw Dusty's cargo drawers he built and It got me thinking; has anyone built a cooler that can be like mounted/held in place without sliding. I'm interested in this cause it gets hot here in the summers and it'd be nice to keep a drink in the car. But I'm taking about a big cooler for the truck area.

I just put my yeti tundra 50 in the back on the weather tech mat. The feet on it are rubber and don't slide. I haven't had an issues with it moving. There are brackets that can be bought for the yeti and I'm sure you can use the tie down points in the cargo area if there is an issue.

I keep a coleman 36-quart cooler strapped down against the wheel well with husky hang-alls so it doesn't budge. It can hold about 24 gatorade/water/soda bottles. Make sure you keep the lid held down with a lashing strap. Ask me how I figured that one out.
I spend about 75% of my workday outside, and hated having to go to the convenience store to get drinks while on a job site. The only problem is that you can't open the cooler when the pull-shade-thing is in the back.
I keep about 3"-4" of water in the bottom to minimize heat transfer and add ice every sunday night. I also learned to freeze gatorade and water bottles, and put a few frozen ones in every few days. That way, I just keep cycling frozen ones in as I drink the thawed ones.
Saving up for a Pelican or yeti 45-qt..... one day

Here you go. Cooler was only $50 by the way
Edit: I Plasti-dipped the lid, but scratched it after a day. Need to put several more coats on to keep it from getting scratched

I keep the shade thing pulled over it normally to keep the sun off. I just needed something non-slip on it and I had the black dip left over. Probably will redo it with white soon
