car got towed, seems fcuked up, what now?

last night my car got towed, acura TL, not the T4R. anyways i picked it up this morning and when i started driving i noticed a "thumping" noise when i would go over minor bumps. sometimes it would thump sometimes it wouldn't. as i kept driving the "thumping" increased in druation. now i'm pissed. i'm to take it to a shop during lunch to see what's up. anyone have any thoughts on what's wrong and what i can do to the towing company to make them pay?

why was the car towed?

If you paid the company to tow your car, they are liable. If you were towed for illegal parking, tickets, etc, you are liable. The are very clear about this on their warnings. Now, if you can prove negligence by their part in towing your car, you can argue or take this to arbitration and show that the person(s) towing your car was not capable of doing their job, and you win, they get the bill.

man i always avoid getting towed.....it takes a huge toll on your car. i've seen them drag cars out of parking spaces like nothing, and then tow them away. those guys don't care about your car.....sure they'll tow it the "right" way, but if your car is hard to access they'll just hook up a chain to your tow hook and drag it out.

Hopefully the towed it the right way. They should lift the front since it's a FWD car. If the lifted the rear and dragged it by it's drive wheels, there may be some damage.

I disagree that you would be liable. Parking in the wrong place does not make YOU liable for improper towing.

You need to document the towing. Then get a professional to say that the damage (if any) was caused by improper towing.

Just parking the wrong place does not give anyone the right to abuse a car without legal consequences.

Get a lawyer.
