Carbon build up

Ive got a lot of carbon when I dug into the into the manifold gasket. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe hit her with the old seafoam?

Yep. Clean her up. Then Run some seafoam through the fuel to see if you can get the rest of it out.

Can you take it completely off? Then you can really clean up good. Put it back on nice and clean... Can use brushed with some carb cleaner to see if it can break up and get super clean.

Edit: I was referring to the intake manifold you took off can clean. Carb cleaner would clean that right up as well on the intake head ports..

That's just oil vapor build-up. It won't be stuck on their like carbon build up. You can see the valves and ports near the valves are clean from the fuel injectors spraying in that area. As long as their isn't so much that it impedes flow, it isn't critical to clean, but I'm sure it will feel better if you at least wipe off the big "chunks" though...

The valves are all closed except for one valve on cylinder 3. I vacuumed out some of them, but im worried about some of that sludge dropping down on top of the valves. Its it okay it fill it with some marvel mystery oil or something and scrub it out with a brush? Then blow out with the air compressor, then vaccum?

That's the normal way to clean intake ports. Don't be afraid. Blowing them out would be a better idea than vacuum, unless your vacuum is spark-proof...

The manifold is off and ive got it shiny clean. The valves themselves are in great shape, just the ports themselves are gummy. Gonna go buy some marvel mystery oil and a good plastic brush and give’em hell. Just elbow grease and the air compressor. I’ve got to wait on parts so what the heck. Ive got one valve that is open where it sits currently, should I just clean the rest of them and save that one for last? Thanks for the encouragement
