Carbon fibre vinyl wrap for door and console sections

The light grey smooth plastic insert in my driver-side door has become dirty past the point of being able to be cleaned, I guess it is just a result of my truck's age.
I am going to wrap them, and the center dash console, with black carbon fibre vinyl wrap for aesthetics. I have not done anything with wrap before, so I am looking for suggestions on how it is done.
Unfortunately, the light grey smooth plastic inserts in each door cannot be removed. They appear to be plastic melt-welded onto the interior door panel itself.
What is the best method to apply the wrap to those sections?

you might be better off using those stick on dask kit. not sure how much it is, maybe 200 up or less. does make it look better, have lots of finishes.

I have used that 3M air-release carbon fiber tape. Its some good stuff since it has the air release and is fairly flexible with some heat. Good to have plenty extra for mistakes too.

The door trim and center should be easy. You will just cut enough to overcover the trim and tuck in the edges in and use a carefully controlled razorblade to cut around it just right since you cannot remove and fully wrap.

For the head unit i would buy new trim in the color you like since it will be a pain to do.

"Stick on dash kit?" Do you have a link for it? Does it stick with adhesive, or like the vinyl wrap adheres to it?

I bought the 2ft x 5ft size package of that wrap. I have never used a wrap so this will be a learning experience. The door inserts will be tricky since they cannot be removed. I guess I should just take a piece of wrap larger in size than the insert, stretch it over that insert, and press it onto the insert. Then, as you said, carefully use a razor blade to trim the excess.

What part are you referring to by "head unit?" You must have a newer 4Runner than my '05 because your dash looks more modern.

Yeah, mine is a 2019. The carbon fiber to the right of the radio hand peace. I also added red pinstripe to the carbon fiber 3M i put there.

try these, you have to make sure the surface is clean, wipe with alcohol or acetone

Those look very nice, but jeez...the kit I need is $300+. Too rich for my blood. I will just try my best using the 3M wrap and hope those door inserts don't look like garbage.

the b & i kit for the 36 pieces, you want black carbon or the real carbon fiber?
or the remi kit.

The primary pieces that I want are for the door inserts (#26, #30 #27, #31) which are only available in the 41-piece kit. Other than the basic solid colors, and the brushed aluminum finish, I didn't see a carbon option other than "Real Carbon Fibre" which is a $73 uplift. I prefer the appearance of carbon fibre, but I don't need actual carbon fibre.
it may be worth that amount of money to achieve a consistent appearance, but I also need to have the truck repainted, so these expensive interior improvements have to take a backseat to the painting.

The other thing I need to get figured out is the pair of tiny bulbs required to rear-illuminate the LCD clock. I bought the OEM bulbs (90010-09017) for that based on the model of my truck (2005 SR5 2WD), but they won't fully and properly seat into the socket. I have another thread on that topic going now as well.
