Anyone know for sure if the cargo cover from a 2002 will fit my 1999?

Will not work. Covers for '01-'02 4Runners have the bottom corners rounded off. '00 and older 4Runner covers are completely square on all 4 corners. You need a cover w/ square ends.

Keep searching until you find one from 01 or 02. Keep an eye on craigslist and ebay. You will be happy you were patient.

My bad...typed in opposite of what I wanted. I'm agreeing with Rock Slide's previous post-For a '99, you need the squared edges.

I've got mine from my '99 sitting in my basement taking up space. I doubt I'll ever use it...but part of me does not want to get rid of it....just because it's original to the truck and I might use it in the future.

What kind of prices are we talking for these things?

The one I was going to pick up was $25 cash. In perfect shape. Same story...they just had it propped up in the garage forever, and they just wanted it gone. I think it's worth more than that, but if all they wanted was $25...why not?

I've seen them go for up to $150. I got a replacement in excellent condition for my '02 off Craigslist and paid $60. New on Ebay for seems to be $150 and average gently used ones going for around $90. They are crazy expensive new at the dealerships..$200+

Man, I really wish I found this thread earlier.Qyota would have a cargo cover.

The mounts all interchange, when I did my cargo cover install, I originally got the rounded mounts. I swapped them with driffter33's square mounts because we traded cargo covers. They are perfectly interchangeable and for 25 bucks, phenomenal deal!

The mounts are not hard to find, you can find them on eBay or call a dismantler.I got the entire cargo panels, each mount, and cargo cover.

Thanks for bumping this hungwin! I need a tan cargo cover - square end for a '97 if anyone feels like pulling theirs out from storage to sell.
The wife misses the covered storage aspect of her old car...
