Cargo cover doesn't retract

Just received a used cargo cover for my 2001 but can't figure out why it does not retract back after pulling the cover out. To roll the cover back I have to unscrew the endcaps and manually roll the cover around the roller.

Does anyone know how to get the cover to retract back on its own?

Has to be some sort of clock spring in there I would imagine. I've never had one apart.

4Runner-Dan just posted the tutorial linked above a few days ago. This was for a 1996-2000 cargo cover with the square end brackets. I don't know if it is any different for 2001-2002 cargo covers with the brackets that are rounded on the bottom.

Thanks Surf Runner. After watching the tutorial I realize that the pins to attach the springs to the cargo cover rod were not included in the cover sent to me.
