My 2021 TRD-ORP came with the Toyota OEM cargo cover. It is pretty flimsy, making it sort of difficult to line it up in the grooves when you pull it open. I have not had any real issues with it other than that annoyance.
The cover is definitely one of the more flimsy cargo covers I've had, but it works and I think it was like $100 or close to that so I'm not really complaining.
It does leave a gap between the seats and a smaller gap between the door. I kind of like it though because I usually only use the cargo cover on trips, and I can fix a box fan and other luggage in the gap behind the seat, and also access stuff in the cargo area when the cargo door is open without necessarily having to release the cover.

The one we build blocks up that back very well and also is mounting with steel anchors and adjusts for load height if needed. Really strong, actually keep your gear in the back and doesn;'t pop up and off.

I’m interested as opposed to paying good money to replace the garbage OEM cover.
It’s hard to tell from your photos or the website how it opens up for access with the window down/ hatch open. All the pics are of it closed up. Does the top zip,Velcro or what?
The configuration options on the site are a bit confusing too. How would you order what you see in the pics you posted.

I have the OEM, works fine for me.
I have my tint slightly darker than stock and the back is dark but not limo. For times I have a bunch of stuff in the back, I like to use a black cloth. Last time I used my tool box nylon cover. The tint gets dark enough to disguise most things, and the black cover easily disguises everything enough so nothing can be seen.
I'm a fan of out of sight out of mind...

We like really strong stuff that doesn't break so we include black PVC coated STEEL quick release hooks that work with the OEM cargo area D rings. Be sure to select "originally equipped with 3rd row seats" if applicable as they are different.
The back area is completely closed up so that anyone looking down with a flashlight still can't see your stuff. The entire thing is made from full black out ballistic material and 800PSI webbing and all metal mounts and hardware. We build on 36" adjustable mount points if you are carrying something larger that the normal OEM profile height too. Your gear will be hidden and also secured.
*the front extension option (shown 2nd image in previous post) will be available once 2 or 3 row equipped has been selected.

thanks for the response, but what I'm trying to understand is how you load and unload from the back. All the pictures are of the unit closed up and it isn't obvious from the pictures how you access cargo. Do you unhook two corners on the bottom rear and it folds up or what?

Exactly. The lower "tailgate" section unhooks in seconds and lifts up to lay on top of the horizontal section.
OK, thank you. I can see the value of physically keeping things from flying around, but I think that might be too limiting for my taste if everything has to slide in and out from the rear without top access.

Missed this earlier, apologies. For future references, one can also add the quick release hooks to any or all of the top points.

I saw this thread a while back during my last trip in the 4Runner. I wanted to post a picture of my current solution but forgot to do so. Finally here is ma solution.
I am still using the OEM cargo cover which did leave some space in the front for the seats to recline. But, in order to maximize the cargo space, I always leave the seats in the up position. The cheap solution I use is adding a simple black bed sheet below the front of my WeatherBeater cargo mat and wrapping it above my luggage. It covers the front of my luggages but also the back. The gripping pins of the WeatherBeater cargo mat prevent any slipping of the sheet. Simple and effective.
