Hey all,
I'm new to the forum, got a brand new SR5.
I had a 2001 Infiniti QX4 (bought it new) with 200,000 miles on it, and loved it, but it was dying so i traded it in and I was sad to see it go, but so far I am really enjoying my new truck.
I've only had it for a few months, but now that i think about it, i don't believe the 2 cargo lights that are actually attached to the cargo door have ever worked.
The lights are set to the "door" position, and they do not come on even when set to "on". I'm not too close to the dealership, so i bought 2 replacement bulbs hoping that's all it is, even though it's brand new. So anyway, I'm no mechanic but would consider myself handy, but I'm also a little obsessive about keeping things in perfect shape. I went to gently pry off the light covers, it looks like there are 2 tabs or recesses for that purpose on both the top and bottom part of the light cover. I tried both, and it seems like it's taking a lot of force, I tried gently a few times, but don't want to bust them.
Has anyone done this? and know if i just need to keep going until it pops off? or if it might be another problem since the car is new?
