Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone had found something or made something like this. I see they sell 4runner cargo mats, but I would like one that covers where the second row would be too. any suggestions are appreciated.

CanvasBack makes cover that go over the backs of the rear seats.

I use a heavy duty canvas tarp that's a little over-sized so it comes up on all sides a little. Not very high tech but it's keeping things clean for me, and my lifestyle makes for dirty cars. Dirt and debris is fairly easy to sweep out the back, worst case I take the tarp out to shake. If I need the back seats I just fold the tarp out of the way.

I went to a car trim shop and they had basically had a roll of what looked like car mat carpet.
They custom cut a mat. Carpet on the top side and rubber on the bottom.
Fits perfect.

I found out that the canvasback covers are acid resistant when a friend's trolling motor 12V battery leaked on the way home from a fishing trip. I cleaned it up with baking soda and it didn't even stain the material.

Sounds like a simple no-nonsense solution. Going to go with this for my new T4R. I need to store a bunch of stuff with seats down without damaging the fabric or sides. Going to get an oversized canvas tarp.

I prefer the Silver Heavy duty tarps for cargo area protection. They don't rip very easy, and they will contain any spills, etc from dirty parts. Bonus is that you can throw it on the muddy ground and crawl under the rig if you need to without getting the Canvas type all muddy.

I bought an inexpensive moving blanket.

It is 40 inches wide X 72 inches long. With the rear seat up i fold it to cover the cargo area floor and with the seat down it can be unfolded to cover almost all of the back.
