Cargo mat

I am a new 4Runner owner and so far am loving my new ride. I have always been a truck guy and one of my concerns about buying a 4Runner was hauling my wet muddy hunting gear in the back. I came up with this and thought I'd pass it along. I found an old truck bed liner layed my factory cargo carpet on top and traced and cut it out. Works and looks great. If I am repeating someone before me I am sorry. Btw love this forum. On it almost daily learning about my new ride.

Looks good! I have a weathertech cargo liner and it's flimsy, yours looks better. It would be nice if you could put a little lip on there though to catch any sloshing action.

I have gone Two Steps Past The Weather Tech Mats. Actually Three since I Haul Firewood in my Runner. Three is a loading step in the receiver to help me flip logs vs lifting them into the Runner. The Runner was my Choice for a Universal Truck after two Jeep Wagoneer’s and Ford’s Explorer (72, 79 and 93 V6 Ford Explorer the last 15 years with real rear axles).

I’m not proud of the prices for the use but all served universal uses (family road trips to back woods fishing and firewood harvest. I have a trailer that is only used if wood is coming from over 2-3 miles away. The 07 SR5 V6 2WD Runner, purchased at 43,000 mi Certified now at 55,000 is more High tech than I had planned. I try and do most of my servicing that have been just oil and filters at this point.

Whoa, you need a truck. Might I suggest an older Tundra, plenty of room for family and not tooo big. We love ours, I've hauled a lot of firewood in it too.

Wow!!! Now I feel silly for worrying about mud!!! I do love seeing people not afraid to use their trucks like they were meant to be used. Love the pics!!

i'll second that tundra suggestion......or maybe even a trailer???

edit:if you don't like hooking up to one for short trips try a hitch cargo carrier rated at 1000lb+
