I tried to do some searches on here to find anything already posted but had no luck. Did find a bunch of ideas on google but wanted to see what have you guys built or used to keep the back of your trucks nice and organized? Im planing on building some sort of box with pull out drawers or slots for bins to keep all my crap in.

yeah that is definitely something on my really want to get or build list. that would be something I would want more for camping, but I'm talking something a little cheaper for just everyday driving around crap that I normally carry around (jumper cables, tools, some rope, first aid kit, fire ext., other crap)

Why not just use totes like the Contico's from Walmart
(here) ?

My cousin had checked his into flights and they have survived the abuse.
The Contico's also do not have the annoying "lip" on the more expensive (and I think overhyped Action Packer.
I personally like storage not permanently attached to the vehicle so I can put them outside or on top of roof when sleeping in the rear deck .

I actually have a few tough boxes like that. I'm thinking about building a compartment with space under it for like two drawers or something like that. that way Id still have all the same the room (minus how ever high I build the new floor) in the back for other junk in and out, and all the other stuff that I would keep in there pretty much all the time could stay in there and be out of sight and not take up any space or be rolling around back there.

This is mine for the time being. I plan on eventually selling this and building my own that's slightly shorter in height, but will be full width and also be a sleeping platform.

It's been used all over the country. Last time the push rope was either in Moab Utah or outside Grand Junction Colorado.

I realize this is an older thread, but thought I would post the pics of my recently completed cargo area. The dimensions were designed around 4 Rubbermaid totes that are only6"tall. This allows all of our belongings to be closed up and watertight yet separated in the 4 totes. Not obvious in the pics, but I also added a keyed lock into the tailgate to prevent opening when unattended.

My neck hurts (LOL!) but...
That's a sensible solution.
Tall enough to clear the wheel-wells and optimize width but not too tall as to sacrifice headroom.
Plastic containers are lighter than metal drawers (we're not trying to bullet-proof our belongings after all), and easily removed when you need room for passengers.

Thanks RAD, sorry about the sideways pics. This was my first time posting and didn't know how to rotate them. As for the security, no where near bullet proof, but our idea was to at least make the stuff not so appealing to the dirtbags who who simply walk by and grab a toolbox or other storage container that was in plain view. This is a project for my 16yo Son and will be his daily driver. I wanted him to have somewhere to keep basic tools and emergency gear. I think it should work nicely for our needs.

Some phones do that and it varies from one model to another.
BTW, your interior side panels look clean! Got pics of the rest of the truck?
Regarding storage and quarter panels, I have gotten rid of my interior rear quarter panels. Will replace them with more solid panels that will allow easier access in there to stash my tools, etc. It will save space in the cargo area.
