Look through and you will see where myself and one other guy installed it in a “high” and “low” option. It’s a great unit.

There are many double-din options on Amazon like this for $350~$500 for AA. Reviews for those chinese-made units are all over the place. But at least you can get a refund on amazon if it is DOA. "Dasita" is one of the more popular ones (going back a few years).

It runs Android as it's OS, but any Android head unit can run Apple Carplay, apps, and everything else.

Extremely interested. If this thing is even half decent, I would be in.

My unit should be here in about a week and a half. I did confirm the $500 unit is the upgraded one which is 2+32 which apparently means 2 GB RAM and 32 memory; I was told this version did not run into the previous freezing issues encountered by the smaller unit. It is completely compatible with all OEM functions, but I will still confirm - steering wheel controls, backup camera, radio, USB, etc. It works on all 10-19 4Rs.

I’m already working on negotiating the group buy price which looks to be about $470 shipped. They are waiting on additional testing results and getting additional inventory before that would be available, but I would expect sometime in the next 30 to 45 days.

if you add the carplay dongle, do you know if can support 5 icons across? the screen seems long enough to have 5 icons rather then 4. here is a 5 icon example from bmw.

If one of these fit (and worked) - I'd be all about it.

Prado 150 interior is mostly shared internally with the 4Runner. Possibly it would function and you could do a little fiberglass work on the center stack fitment?

Just a daydream mostly. But it looks good even if it's just vaporware.

i hope future 4runners never have touchscreen HVAC controls like that, all vehicle functions should have physical buttons that are easy to use without needing to take your eyes off the road

i'm interested in the android HU if it works, i'm concerned about it running a previous version of android on a questionable processor and just 2GB ram though

More details and pictures to come. Also the price is going to blow your mind, just like the Chinese Speical TRD Grille. Something we all noticed with the Grille was if you don't order it from the right guy, You may not get the same quailty. I'll be doing a video review once I get this installed. I'll also post the tech and price.
