I know, odd someone is asking about a tape deck. I listen to my xm through the tape deck. Lately. it wont play, only plays a couple secs, flips sides plays a few seconds and then ejects. Any thoughts other than update deck or listen thru a fm modulator.

If it's flipping, it's because the spools inside are feeling resistance. If you can turn the freewheeling thingamabobbies in your tape adapter by hand, then it's the spools in the deck itself.

I tried that for a few days until I got tired of it and updated the stereo. You know all the new ones have Aux. inputs, right?

Is it a JBL Stereo? If not, i have an OEM head unit w/ cassette in my basement that I took out of my 2003 4Runner that you can have if you pay shipping. I never used the tape deck....hell, i dont think it was ever used! It's all yours if you want it.
