Ok yeah i am adhd and have more idea's then time... I went to get in my truck today and just one of those things that just hits you.. On my 92 in the interior door handle are red "courtesy" lights. I I WANT CLEAR ONES!!!!!
This got me thinking back to the early 90's and "my classic car" did "real" product show cases they were working on a 36 packard or a 36 studebaker..
they were converting it over from a 6 v to 12v (bulbs are brighter on 12 volt) and durring the process of final work they were wanting to replace one of the tail light lenses that was busted... And at the time no one made repop for the vehicle.
Long story short they used this process with what i can assume now was silicone and made a 2part mold then used a 2 part epoxy and duplicated the one good lense twice for use on the vehicle
I have done some research and found tap quik-cast http://www.tapplastics.com/product/mold_making_materials/casting_products/tap_quik_cast/74 which is a poly casting compound and

I worked in a steel foundry for almost a year so the concept is there of how it is done
