Casulty #3...A DOOZY

So we were at Disney yesterday and finally left around 9pm....pulled out of the parking lot and about to grab the I-5 north, Got a little disoriented (Exhausted, confused, GPS had a hard time finding satellites) and suddently realized I was about to go I-5 South...Tried to correct that before ti was too late, when suddenly I saw,at the last second, this Huge 4x4 with tires larger then my vehicle.

It was too late...I tried to pull back to the right but his tires swiped my front side-end...I felt the bumped, cursed (At myself, it was my fault IMO)...the truck just kept going, probably didn't feel me...I just kept going to, finally getting on the right exit...

When I got home last night I checked the damage...All I found was grease smothered my side fender and wheel...WOW....I consider myself lucky.

Morale of the story: If you're beat tired after Disney, get some caffeine in you before you head back on into LA traffic....:roadkill:

Okay...did another examination...

Looks like the driver side mirror has a few minor scratches...nothing big.

The Front-Side corner of the bumper seems a wee bit loose...and the front fender seems to be a touch higher then the hood now...but I can't remember if it was like that before...probably not.

All in all, nothing noticeable unless you're examining the rig in great deal.

sigh...my trip is only half over!

I'm accident and ticket free for as long as I can remember, probably ever, so I pride myself in safe driving.

Just a bad mental lapse last night that I can honestly say I can attribute to fatigue after a hot day at Disneyland. Funny the other driver didn't even stop, his tire was almost bigger then the rig!

Let me guess, you were parked in the parking structure, and its not just you its confusing as hell (My wife and I have season passes) and when were leaving I always have to put my game face one....cause trying to get over the 5 is always a challenge.....

It could have been a lot worse. Disney is a ton of fun, but you leave without energy and money. Hope your trip goes smoother and there are no more 4Runner issues!

I think you Albertan's are smelling to many oil fumes out there . My town is FULL of vacationing Alta license plates right now and I swear not one of them can drive at all . I seen 3 of them make illegal U turns right on our busiest hwy last night ( trust me that's a death wish right there ), 2 ran through red left hand turn lights and this morning in the parking lot where the McD's drive thru is , the woman must have been missing something in her order ,so after pulling away and the car behind her has already pulled up to the window , she begins to back up and bang !! Hit the dude behind her at the window ,she didnt even look . Alberta lic plates give me the willies now .

I hate that stupid parking structure! I love it when you go around those tight outside corners and see the paint on the walls and support beams (I have a season pass too if you hadn't figured that out yet)

Driving I-5, or even I-10 is just a touch different from the TransCanada, I'd say. Biggest rat race in history, even from about 75 miles out of LA. I did clock a few drivers in Nova Scotia running about 110 MPH, though.

I readily admit, ALBERTA drivers are the absolute worst. Slow Drivers in Fast lane, Fast \drivers in slow lane, no signals, red light turns. ARGH!

I grew up and came from British Columbia before moving to Alberta...I share your pain...

At one point a few years ago, Edmonton Drivers were voted worst in Canada!

I pride myself in not being one of them!

I can only imagine the force of the impact, considering that it buckled the floor pan and deformed the entire cabin of the 4Runner. I hope you and your passengers are ok.
