Cat Back Exhaust - Suggestions?

I am about to to this soon to mine (22re) so I will be following this thread. I want to go to possibly a 2.5 inch pipe for better performance and I might change the cat to a better flowing one as well being as they are a lot cheaper than they used to be. I did just change a friends cat back with a cheap system (about $110.00 Canadian) and I noticed that the pipe was smaller diameter than stock size. Keep that in mind.

I have the stainless system from NWOR. I like the sound a lot better than my old Borla system.

I think the LC Engineering stainless cat-back set-up is the best on the market. While you're at it, install their ceramic coated, stainless header....I did.

I got the parts for a friends exhaust at a local jobber. They were cheap parts and not as good as we could have got but the price was right at the time.

I am confirming fitment on a 1st gen for the parts...
A little pricey, but we have little choice!!!

just do what i did. great perf, and great badass sound. about 2 inches after the cat, do a little slice and dice, and cut it off. if you have stock exhaust, cut the end tail pipe off (the part that goes to a 90 degree bend,) and clamp it on the cut off pipe. but a connector and some exo clamps, slip it all together, angle it a 90 out he side, and boom!! you are done. its loud when you really stomp on the gass, but good at low idle (great for sneaking home past curfew. it will save you from being grounded, or the dog house)
So, I called the second time after waiting for internet service to return and the guy at 4wheel parts told me they don't carry an exhaust for an 88 Toyota 4runner. He took my number, called me back, and told me he couldn't find anything. In essence, take it to the local shop and pay your 300 for their cheapo because it's your only option.

Okay, I'm close to half way through. I've got the old exhaust out. I started stripping a nut on the old direct fit cat so I opted to pull the drop pipe with catalytic converter so I could get a better angle on it. When I get it all back together I'll post the pieces I used, links, and price. RIght now I think I'm at about 180 for exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, muffler, tail pipe, and gaskets.
