Cat delete: 02 sensor override?

I recently replaced my cat with a resonator, as it was rusted out. As a result, my check engine light is now on (obviously).

Q: Is there a way to override this, or fool the ECU into thinking everything is ok? I don't want to miss any other "notifications" the CEL may be trying to communicate, and do not wish to unplug it.

It would be nice if we could solder in a resistor inline with the O2, or something of that nature... but I couldn't find anything in previous posts.

Advice appreciated!

Hey Ripcord! I know this is an old post, but do you know if URD still offers this product?
I have a 2002 and my cat has gone bad. I used to be able to turn off the lights, but not any more. I’m not looking for performance gains, just trying to avoid the cost of a new cat.
Any advice?
Thank you
Matt

9 year old thread? Google it.

Better yet, are you sure it's your cat? What CEL code is it throwing?

Did you know you can get a universal 'OEM Grade' Federal cat from Magnaflow for about $250? Lesser grade from lesser MFGs for less money are available all over the interplace. Direct-fit is double that but it doesn't sound like you are concerned with smog/inspections or CARB stuff....
