Catalytic Converter & Oxygen Sensor

For 4th Gen, 120 platforms.

I really been thinking about these two components (Catalytic Converter & Oxygen Sensor) and with my gas mileage not so good (avg 13 city 15 hwy) I think I could squeeze 1 or 2 more mpg out by looking into changing them. Currently I have 80 plus K on the exhaust system. But 10k less on the engine itself.

1. How many sensors (pre & after) are on the V8 version?
2. How many converter are there? I asked that because I see three possible in the exhaust system.
3. Who had the entire exhaust with converter and sensors replace?

1. 2 air/fuel sensors, 2 o2 sensors

2. Each manifold and the next pipe downstream.

3. Noone, it costs a fortune. Guaranteed youll spend less on the gas.

Changing the cats to aftermarket is pretty much guaranteed to
1: Give you a check engine light that won't go away with codes p0420 and p0430.

2: do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for power for economy.

Cleaning the mass air flow sensors and replacing plugs if they are worn out (not to mention making sure your tires are properly inflated) will do more for fuel economy. The v8's never got exactly fantastic fuel economy anyway.

Also, in the wintertime, some places mess with the fuel blends, and that can affect your economy as well.
