i have searched and cant rally find anything so i need a little help.
i purchased a 2000 limited 2WD t4r it got good gas mileage for what it was i averaged around 19-21 everywhere.
its stock no lift and 265/70/16 Michelin tires
a month after owned i went to work and came out and my converter was stolen which as i know now is very common for 4runner and Tacoma owners.
so i had the converter replaced and it ran OK not as good as before,
i changed:
spark plugs (they were orig with 130K so it needed done)
oil changed
sea foamed
fuel filter.
ever since it get 12-14 mpg never above 14
ive owned t4r before and know what they can get on gas so 12 is a little crazy ive had the converter checked and everything checks out
ive noticed mine says its a canadian 4runner and i have the maple leaf,and the day time running lights all the things a Canadian has,
My step moms 2001 4runner says its a federal us emissions 4runner and she has two converters where i had one large one the manuals are even different and point out some differences in the converters
does this mean or change anything?
maybe once its stolen its never going to be the same or run rite again. any suggestions anyone ever had this problem also? thanks for your input guys
