Catch-All Xtreme Mats

I just received a set of Catch-All Xtreme mats for my 05 T4R, and I am dissapointed in the design:

The drivers mat has a raised rim which encloses a hinged cover for the fastener system. Looks very nice!

The passenger mat has a different design, no raised rim, and an inexpensive looking cap which snaps on/over the fastner.

The mats do not look like a matched pair. Since the web site only shows the better looking (drivers) mat, I am not sure if the passengers mat is supposed to match. Both have the same part number.

Has anybody else noticed the difference, and, am I being too pickey??? I can live without the Extreme stick-on logos, which fell off in the shipping box!

I have not received a reply from the manufacturer, Lund Industries.

I really expected better for $70 plus shipping.

Sorry to hear about the disappointment. I was just about to order a set for my 03 4Runner which would cost me over $250 with the cargo liner. I'm glad that I read your post.

I will opt for the OEM mats and OEM all-season mats.

Good luck.

Husky Liner FTW.....

I am about to order a set of Husky Liner mats for my 4Runner. I have a set in my Ram, and they are awesome. I can get the front mats, back mats, and cargo mats, with shipping, for 221.95 on eBay from "zigsauto".

From the aftermarket guys online, they want about 280 shipped.

I was looking at the Husky liners but was concerned with the fact that they have such a high lip/wall and that my foot would catch it everytime I entered the vehicle. I also found that the Husky liners looked cheap, almost like a thin rubber tray as my buddy just installed them in his Jeep Wrangler. I found the Catch-All mats looked better on paper anyways.

The Catch-all Xtreme front mats look good and appear to be high quality, and they will get the job done.

The problem I have, is that they don't match near the back, because the fastner covers are completly different.

The drivers side system (with the raised ring and hinged cover) is the best I have seen, and it is the one shown in the promotional material. They don't show the passengers mat.

Again, maybe I an being too fussy.

I have the carpeted Catch-alls, but I think the design is similar.

The mats attach to the floor differently on the driver's and passenger sides - the driver's side has the hooks on the floor and the passenger side requires you to "screw" the mat to the carpet.

Also, the little hinged thing on the driver's side is a pain in the butt. Mine falls off about once a month. Be glad the passenger's side doesn't have it.

Finally, yes, you're being too picky. :D It is not ever going to be noticed by anyone except you. And you don't have to let it bother you because you know why the two sides are different.

(BTW, crappy hinge and all, I wouldn't trade my Catch-Alls for anything.)
