CB Mount

Hello Yall,

So about a month ago I ordered a Comet CB mount. I had problems from the beginning it would not stay in one location and the screws kept getting loose. I went on a trip to Ouray, Co and that was the final straw for it. It broke halfway through the trip. Luckily zip ties held it together until the end of the trip but it did damage to my truck. Luckily Amazon returned it.

So needless to say I will not be buying another comet mount. I have a 4-foot firestick antenna. Does anyone know of a different mount for the back hatch? Preferably I would rather not rerun the coax cable.

Or if anyone has fabrication skills could you make me something?

I agree with the Comet mounts, I had one and it also broke..

Are you set on the rear hatch????

I used a CBI fender mount with a spring. Pretty happy with it.

I have the Diamond K400 hatch mount, and it has worked well for the past couple years with an antenna mounted 24/7, though it is a 2ft antenna.

I use the gamviti mount on my truck, they're ok with light steel whip antennas, but my 3ft firestik sways way too much with this mount.
