I don't know about everyone else, but the site search on here does NOTHING for me, no results, ever, just says loading or some crap. Unless you know google-fu you are SOL.

Enter your search info in the "Google Custom Search" at the very top of the page and see if that works better.

Like I said it comes up with the results page and just says loading and nothing at all. The ONLY way I can search the site is with the google.

So I picked up the Cobra model I listed above. Its a nice little radio with rf gain ect. Sounds pretty good. And with the VHF wire whip I have, I was surprisingly reaching much further than expected. Tried starting a conversation with anybody, but in today's society and some users on cb's a conversation was out of the question. Anyhow for what I will be using for, it will be perfect. Thanks for the advice.

I have a Cobra 75WXST which is the hand held unit. You have a small base that you can mount under your seat or somewhere out of the way and then just hang the mic wherever and you have all of your controls at your finger tips.

I will say however that my range is pretty poor. I'm connected to a 4' firestik and I'm good for only about 1-2 miles at best and am easily keyed over.
