CBI Front Bumper and Sliders (Lots of Pics)

Got to see one of the first of these bumpers in person and it's probably the lightest steel bumper I have carried.

Medic83 over at 120 had his customized to his specs and it came out great.

Thanks a lot! Yeah the sliders are awesome. I've been keeping an eye on that thread and thinking about meeting up with you guys. Sadly, if you are going out next week I won't be able to because I'm up in CT for the holidays, but definitely next time. Thanks for the invite.

The setup looks great! I've been looking into the CBI bumpers and sliders for a while now and at the moment one of them is going to have to wait so I was wondering what I should get first. I love the look of both but I haven't decided on which would be more practical on the trail. I don't do anything too difficult but I want the most protection if there's a big rock or tree in the way.

Also a concern with a front bumper would be the weight as I don't want the front to sag but I also don't want to invest in new springs at the moment.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

My vote is for sliders first. I've wheeled with a stock bumper for a while and for the most part it is good enough. I took a light bounce off of a tree once and it wasn't affected in any way. I did scrape the lower part of the bumper and cracked a fog light on a rock when I was backing up while turning and ran the rock over. Just pay attention to the approach angle when going over stuff and you can't do much worse than scrape it.
