CBI Skid Plates

Hello fellow T4R folks!

First, I did search and search and could not find anything regarding the CBI skid plates. If i missed it, please let me know and I will delete the thread and go read more.

I am 99% sold on the CBI skid plates they have which is the front, rear, and cross member. I saw these on Swellrunner YT channel and really liked how wide they are which in turn provides a lot of protection.

My many part question is:
  • Does anyone have these installed and what is your review?
  • Is there any squeaking noise (LFD speaks to this with their version)?
  • The install seems easy enough, how long did it take and did you run into any issues?
  • How long did it take for you to receive from order to delivery?

I appreciate the help and insight!

Thank you!

May not answer all your questions, but there was an install experience posted on page 2 of this thread

CBI Fabrication - 5th Gen Skid Plates

There are a few youtube videos about the cbi skids.

Ill buy one someday, just cant get past the price tag and pull the trigger to buy.

My thoughts exactly, I went with RCI skids and they fit like a glove and offer more than enough protection.

RCI skids are $775 w/powder coat and CBI are $765 w/out powder coat.

For me, I was going to paint them myself anyways so when they get scratched, I can touch them up and it will match perfectly.

I will also have $300 in Visa cards from my work insurance reward program so really only paying $465!!!

If you plan on putting on LCA gussets/frame braces, make sure to check with CBI if they can fit without cutting. That was one factor that kept me from changing out my front RCI skid to a wider LFD one. Not sure if the LFD would have fit but didnt want to cut into the skid to make it fit lol.
