CD Issue with my Non-JBL Radio

For the first in about 2 years I put a cd into the player of my non-JBL stock radio ('04 sport). I got the cd out but the radio still says "CD IN" and when I hit eject it sounds like it wants to spit a cd out then it just stops and the "CD IN" light stays on.

Any ideas?

It sounds like the laser sled is stuck from disuse. This sled has to slide in and out on a track and if it just sits it doesn't move the grease (very light white grease) around and it gets baked in the heat etc. and becomes sticky and hard. How are you on taking it apart and cleaning/ regreasing it?

I'd rather not take it apart...i never use it. I wonder if I keep hitting eject would it maybe pop it loose?

It's a crap shoot but you might get lucky. But to move the laser back and forth you will have to insert a CD again, maybe something you don't care about anymore. However it sounds like it keeps trying to eject so it probably won't accept anything until that stops. How did you get the CD out?
