Post Opti-Gloss Ceramic Coating
Mine is officially in, and I get to take delivery on Wednesday afternoon. I'll post some pics in the morning!
Nothing too exciting here, but I was definitely happy to see this thing in person after waiting more than 3 months. As of now, I should be able to take delivery on Wednesday afternoon, then it's off to the detail shop for PPF and a ceramic coating.
On another note, I was pissed off to return to the shop today, to find that my truck had two new paint chips and scrapes that weren't there yesterday. The one on the front bumper is deeper and longer than it looks in the pictures. Needless to say I'm irrate. There may be a scratch-and-dent trd pro available in STL tomorrow if the dealership doesn't make this right....
Lol..tell them to send it to my dealership in Arkansas and I'll buy it
I'm pretty sure they have a few people lined up behind me if I back out.... It's not a great feeling when you wait months, just to have some careless knucklehead and the dealership scratch it up. This is the exact reason I asked them not to wash it or do anything other than the pre-delivery inspection. Even that wasn't careful enough for these morons...
Damn....those aren't exactly superficial scratches either. Did the dealer offer you anything to make it right?
They are going to have their "touch-up" guy come by the store in the morning, and make them "vanish". This is the same touch up guy that did some shady work on an FJ Cruiser I bought from them a year ago. I told them that the front bumper likely needs to be filled and repainted because the depth of the scratch, but they disagreed. Essentially, I have no leverage with people lined up behind me waiting to take the truck. If it doesn't look good or they don't knock some money off, I'll walk down the street and by a Rubicon. My patience with Toyota, and this dealership in particular, is running very thin at the moment...
there's a thread for every color, so i might as well start one for the Cement color.

Looks great Billy! Nice to recognize another name on here from the BMW forums. I bought one of your old camera setups from E90Post many years ago! :thumb3:
Wow! Looks great. Did you just do the 2 year gloss coating? I am considering the opti-coat pro plus and gloss coating.
Yes, 2-year gloss. I could not justify the price of Pro Plus for a daily driven Toyota. I did want the basic protection though, mainly because I was getting my roof rack installed and would not be able to properly maintain the roof.
