Literally saw a 2017 TRD Pro Cement drive through the Cape Cod mall parking lot the other day... I stopped my Magnetic Gray SR5 abruptly to bow to its greatness. :wow2:

Paint correction is just the process of getting out imperfections in the paint. Usually dealership have some kid that runs over the vehicle with a polishing wheel to clean it up and prep it. Well that prep imo, does more harm than good because it causes swirl marks that are masked by the product used. A few weeks later, your brand new vehicle looks far from new because that product washed away. Luckily for me, the dealership followed through with my request not to prep it, so less work for me to do.

Gotcha. So you're doing the correction yourself? And then some kind of protectant sealer?

I imagine the non-metallic paint like the Cement is more prone to showing those imperfections. I try to not look too closely at my Classic Silver Metallic because it's a party of random rock chips and road debris scratches.

I own a detailing business on the side, so this is just going to be another job. After the correction is done, it will get 3-4 coats of ceramic coating to lock it in.

Believe it or not, the cement has a pearl in it. The camera doesn't capture it, so it looks like a flat color. You must see it in person!

This was the exact question I had about the cement paint. Interesting. I do love my MGM but the Cement and Quicksand are both growing on me. Not that I would trade my truck in at this point.... but it's nice to know Toyota didn't paint it a flat color. I'd like to see one in person.

"Paint correction" is a term only known to the severely anal.

Depends on the condition of the paint. This truck should take about 10-12 hours, it's not that bad. I had a azurite black M4 brand new that I did for a customer and it took close to 30 hours to correct

Is there anyone in the Twin Cities, MN with a Cement TRDP? I want to see the color before placing an order.

Could you just imagine how awesome a flat clear coat would be on the Cement color?
