Picked her up 7/17, took her to the beach 7/23...... still havent had the time to read the manual on how to use all the 4x4 doo dads properly

Pulled the trigger last Friday, waiting for the transporter (Mass to FL), paid $500 under MSRP.

Until delivery, this week will drag...

It showed up today. Looks great, love the Cement.

Had 6 miles on the clock.

Rack rails, mats, cargo net, and stainless exhaust tip.

And, thank the Toyota Gods, no sunroof.

I do like it better than my 2010 FJ.:beer:

How much was transport and what service did you use?

It was $850, Hyannis Mass to East Coast of FL, Pre-Owned Auto Transport (Danvers Mass) brokered the deal.

Open carrier was fine this time of year(no snow, salt, hail, ice), took about 4 days.

If I had flown up, would have been $250, a hotel on Cape Cod $200, car rental from Boston to the Cape $100, meals for 2 days another $100 (at least), now 1200 miles worth of fuel $200, and 1200 miles on the 4Runner…

It was really a no-brainer.

How much did it cost to get the ceramic coating done? I just can't find a good shop close by.

my good friend does it in his garage, he charged me $340. other shops around my area charge anywhere between $600-$1000.

I also paid about $350 for mine. I had mine coated in 22ple.


Also for those of you that have had your 4 runners in for service check your wheels for damage done by the dealership. On all 4 of my wheels by the lugnuts there are chips from the socket the dealership used. Toyota said they would make it right for me but as a FYI to all out there.

Also double check the torque, mine were all torqued from 115-140 lbs. i'm sure the dealership just does them all to what ever the impact gets it to.

They almost all do it (they being dealerships and a lot of cheap shops) but you should never put your lugs on with an air gun. A proper torque wrench just isn't that hard to use; its laziness.

Toyota dealer in Bremerton Washington has one in transit, not sure if there is a deposit on it. I'm guessing it's on the same boat as mine, due in the next few weeks.
