Cold air Intake just arrived. I'll make time this weekend to throw it on.

As an update regarding the MPG change from the 285/70/17 upgrade, before the upgrade I averaged 17.3 during a regular to and from work week. With the news tired I'm currently averaging 16.3.

I'm hoping I can gain that 1mpg loss back with the cold air intake lol. I'll follow up here with that info.

Also refreshed the badges with TRD Pro badges. I have some extras If anyone is interested I'll do them for $25 a pair shipped. As a side note, I'm not in the business of selling badges just trying to recoup the money I invested in the minimum order I had to place. Finally got around to installing the TRD cold air intake. Overall I felt a slightly noticable improvement in torque. You can hear it when you accelerate hard but not when driving normally. I'll circle back with an update on the mpg improvement end of this week.

I must be missing something. The old box has a cold air intake using the same hole as the new one. The MAF sensor is the same stock one being used. The only modification is a new intake with a TRD logo on it and some red hoses. I don't see how this will help with anything. It looks like an easy install and looks a lot cooler but how can we justify the cost? Can somebody explain the difference to me?

I'm not the right person to answer in regards to how this intake differs from stock as I lack knowledge in this area. The primary reason I purchased it was for the MPG gains reported by a couple users here.
[MENTION=116156]TheWraith[/MENTION] went as far as doing a before and after dyno on his install and as per his results he gained 5HP and 19TQ and 1-2 MPG gain.

For $267.17 I'll be happy even if it gave me a 1 MPG increase and I'm not complaining about the nice looks and sound either lol.:yo:

Where did you find it for 267.17? All the prices that I see are in the four hundreds.

It just looks better. :)

Dude half the stuff we add to our rigs is for looks. Makes it look different.
