Haven't updated in a while.

So I received my order from C4 Fabrication for the sliders and bumper.

Got the sliders on

I was waiting for my aiden james daytime running lights to arrive so I can install the bumper however but 3 months into the aiden james order and nothing received as of yet. Crazy that a bumper and sliders can be manufactured from scratch faster than those lights. :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty:

Here we go....

Just thought I'd start a build thread for my TRD Pro which will be daily driven 40 miles a day and will see some occasionally off road usage.

My main goal is to maintain as close as possible the stock ride quality and mpg. Living in Florida I'll need as close to a mud terrain as possible but again something that won't trash the existing ride quality.

Aside from that, I plan to add some protection in the form of a bumper and rock sliders and also a winch to prevent all-nighters.

So far I've got the following:

285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Toytec 2" Spacer Kit

This will be installed over the weekend. I'm not lifting the rear for now as I'm not sure how much-added weight the front will have once the bumper and winch are installed and trying to keep the stance level front and rear.

On order & pending arrival:
- C4 Fabrication Slider
- C4 Fabrication Bumper
- Winch
- Rear blackout overlay
- TRD cold air intake
- HID lights

And here's another build I just wrapped up:

5:13 gears w/ ARBs front and rear & 315/70/17 Dick Cepek MTs

Looking forward to getting some ideas from you guys for future stuff.

On the risers, did you also install the upper control arms? If not, why?

Sorry for the lack of updates folks been really busy and just recently had the change to get everything installed.

I got around to installing the C4 Bumper, Aden James Lights. Also installed the Factor 55 Fairlead and Ultra Hook

Not sure if I'm feeling all the Yellow, what are your thoughts?

I think the 2" Toytec spacer was perfect to compensate for the added weight of the super heavy bumper.

Thanks! Thinking of the same bumper but with the low bull bar. I imagine the sliders probably have some effect on the front suspension as well.

I may only move up to 275's, not sure yet. Wife's DD so looking to make it stand out from a stock Runner but not affect normal performance in a noticeable way.

Only 17k on it so not sure what I can get away without asking for warranty hassles.

I like what you've done to your truck. I'm in the process of doing almost the identical mods to my 4R. My C4 bumper is due next month. After I get it installed, I want to install the 2" TRD Pro lift from Toytech like you have done to your front. I estimate the added weight (C4 bumper 75lbs, winch 75lbs) to be around 150lbs.

Do you feel with this additional weight and the 2" lift you installed, the ride is comparable to the stock suspension? In other words, is the ride on the highway comfortable and not stiff? I have this fear that when you compress the spring to give it lift, you're also removing some of the latitude the spring needs to keep the ride comfortable. What I want to avoid is a stiff suspension that feels every bump in the road.

Any issues with your 285s and stock Trd wheels? I know they recommended at least 7.5.
