Center Diff lock button working??

Have 2001 Limited; Does the Center Diff Lock Button push in, and stay in, like the seat heaters, when engaged, or is it push-push? Mine does not stay in, and does not seem to go into diff lock. Thanks for all help!

its push push... does not stay in.

youll know if it works if the orange light in the middle of the 4x4 diagram is lit.
